Wicked depth of field! I can appreciate a good macro, even though this particular shot has no conceptual layers (something I always look for in art) it certainly is pleasing to the eye and technically very sound.
Especially the focus is very well done and the lighting makes sure that we get a good look at the detail and colour of the object.
I want to criticise the composition, because I feel it is a bit aimless. You have three layers of focus, which is very good. And the background is on the rule of thirds, which provides the shot with some horizon, but I keep wondering why you placed the middle ground and foreground right in the middle of the photo.
Looking at the photo a bit longer, I can see a potential for different interpretations and I feel that a more daring composition or angle could trigger this potential earlier. A bit more to the left and shot from the right, I think you could emphasize the idea of a butterfly, for example (the leaves being wings and the branch on the left being a head or feelers or something)
Making a technically great macro is fun, making a technically great macro that confuses the heck out of your viewer: even more so <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
