Yay so excited! :D I finally bought the canon f1.4 50mm! It was about time!

Since my beautiful zoomlens died I really had a problem making still life pictures. Which I do a lot lately so I really want to buy a new one but then I thought of the 50mm The lens that I wanted to buy for my still life pics so I decided to buy that one first and to save money for the zoomlens later. And so I did! It will arrive withing 2 days I believe! I hope I can try it out this weekend! I am really excited to practice more so my photos will get some more quality.. I have some great goals!

Oh and if you use lightroom take a look here! I just uploaded my first lightroom preset.. A lot more is on the way, pastel colored presets will be next! :)

I've been thinking of buying that lens too!
But now that I've the money, I'm considering saving it for the canon 100mm usm f/2.8 macro lens =)

Well it's just what you want to photograph wit it :)
I already had the 100mm F2.8 macro, it was my first lens I bought and I'm very happy with it.
This is of course not a macro lens so for my normal nature pictures and still life pictures this one is just perfect :)
they are both perfect haha

I got the macro lens yesterday, I'm a bit struggling with the focus, I use it on manual of course but sometimes it seems that it's on focus but it's not haha (I posted a picture I took with it, the first one=)
I totally love it, and it also is the first lens I bought! And I don't regret it. Next one will be the 50mm f/1.4 =)

I had the same when I first began with the 100mm, you'll be alright! :)
I think your first photo is great, it's a nice way to begin with drops, I always love those!

Yeah it's not really the time of a year, however you can make very pretty nature drops on a picture.. But that's hard when it's raining all the time!

Yep exactly! And the weatehr is so dark that I have to carry a tripod or use a high iso to have enough light!

Uhu! Well there will be days when you can use your lens perfectly :)
I always use a tripod for my macro photos, enough light or not :)
